I strongly believe, and research supports, that there must be a good “fit” in a therapist-client relationship. I aim to create a safe environment with empathy, unconditional positive regard, and non-judgment. I believe we all inherently have the capacity for growth, and my job is to provide the healthy environment needed to gain insight, challenge maladaptive behaviors, and support your positive change. I have a range of treatment modalities that I tailor to fit your needs. This includes cognitive behavioral, client-centered, emotion-focused, EMDR, and general systems approaches.
I most enjoy working with individuals presenting with trauma, anxiety, depression, adjustment concerns, couples issues, grief and loss. I’m also trained in providing EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), which is used for healing from trauma. I enjoy working with both individuals and couples. I have worked in outpatient, residential, substance rehabilitation, and crisis care settings treating a variety of clinical concerns.
I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist. I earned my Doctorate of Clinical Psychology, with an emphasis in Integrative Psychology, at Alliant International University in San Diego, California.
