I am a certified professional counselor, with a graduate certificate in Trauma, Abuse, and Deprivation. I have completed advanced training in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Psychodrama, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).

I specializes in the treatment of addictive and compulsive behavior patterns, including self-harming behaviors, which are often rooted in family of origin issues or traumatic experiences. I am also trained to treat the mood/anxiety disorders and relationship dynamics that complicate the recovery process. I utilize the practice of mindfulness as a treatment tool to integrate mind, body, and spirit; increasing both self-awareness and self-control. In addition, I facilitates groups in psychodrama, core communication, and relapse prevention.

I am a member of the American Counseling Association, the EMDR International Association, and the International Association of Marriage and Family Counselors. I have an extensive background in church ministry and clergy issues and serves on the Board of Directors of MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers, Intl). I am a frequent presenter at professional gatherings, churches, and businesses on topics related to emotional health and family dynamics.
