The PCS Intensive Treatment Program designed for those struggling with Relationship Betrayal.
September 14th through September 21st, 2019
For over 30 years Psychological Counseling Services (PCS) has been treating sex addicts, their partners, and families. During the last 25 years we have offered and continued to develop the PCS Intensive Treatment Program focused on treating addicts, partners, and trauma. As knowledge has grown in our field regarding the traumatic impact of sex addiction upon the partner, we have refined the PCS Intensive Treatment Program to address the specific needs of partners experiencing relationship betrayal.
Incorporating the Multidimensional Partner Trauma Model (MPT-M), a model developed through the work of the Association of Partners of Sex Addicts Trauma Specialists (APSATS), we have created a program tailored for partners that will assess and meet their needs wherever they are in the healing process. This year five of our therapists will participate in the Certified Partner Trauma Therapist training offered by IITAP. PCS is proud to be sponsoring these initial trainings.
Our team of professionals, trained in working with trauma and relationship issues, includes several therapists trained through APSATS and are currently undergoing the consultation necessary to become Certified Clinical Partner Specialists. We are pleased to say they will be some of the first in Arizona certified by this organization.
PCS utilizes a comprehensive, integrative approach requiring a coordinated effort between your therapist(s), our therapists and office staff. We employ a multi-dimensional approach; treating the emotional, cognitive, physical, spiritual, and relational dimensions of each individual. Our therapists utilize therapeutic tools such as EMDR, DBT, SE, psychodrama, and other techniques necessary to generate forward progress. In order to facilitate a productive process for our clients a PCS therapist is assigned to manage your case and remains in communication with your therapist throughout the intensive process. In addition, therapists are invited to participate in each client’s Wednesday staffing. Upon program completion, we send a summary report to your therapist including recommendations for continuing care which we have worked through with you. We hope you find your time with us filled with compassion, challenge, support, and growth.
In order for PCS to provide comprehensive care, it is our policy that you are currently working with a therapist. As part of your treatment at PCS, you will need to sign an authorization that allows PCS to obtain information from your primary therapist.
